Default Snowflake AZ

I'm wondering if anyone lives in Snowflake AZ? I have visited Snowflake a few times, and I love the small time feel. I'm just worried about fitting in. It seems like everyone knows everyone, and there's no room for new people. Can someone give me the pros and cons on Snowflake? Thanks

where do you live now?....if in Az, have you been here long?...

I ask because Snowflake is a predominantly LDS town...don't know if that's a problem for you or not.....in fact, the town founders were named Snow and Flake!....

you may not fit in, as is true with most conservative small towns, but the town is not a bastion of 19th century insularity....they have internet, cable tv, cars, the whole bit....but there are old families who still run most of the businesses and it isn't a booming tourist or second-home community....little growth....it's a few miles from Show Low, which is much larger and varied....

Nice place, everyone is pleasant enough. But yes, LDS is the designated church/social circle. Like most small places, you'll stand out till accepted, if ever. Better be LDS if you want to live there.
