Scottsdale or Paradise Valley. Prices are high but there is lots of shopping and great neighborhoods.

Chandler has and will continue to have new employment opportunities. Many new stores/mall and restaurants. Worth a look.

Plently of great areas; C. Scottsdale, N. Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Paradise Valley, Gilbert, Chandler, N. Phoenix, Prescott, Sedona, and Carefree are all quite nice. The top 5 areas to live in Arizona are as follows (according to me):

1) Fountain Hills
2) N. Scottsdale
3) Paradise Valley
4) Sedona
5) Gilbert

All of these areas are great places to live.

Your list - that's open to debate, btw you left out Flag & Prescott - they're not bad places in a state with so few good places. Sedona - been there done that. I could elaborate on that place sans red rocks, but why waste my time.

Prescott in on the list, I just don't consider it in the top 5. Flagstaff....WAY to cold for me!
