32 year-old, female, single? Hmmmm . . . Just kidding. I grew up in a very small town in MI and now live in the second largest city in MI. Not sure if I can go back to the small town vibe. I mean, when you need a Target, you need a Target. And when I need clothes, I need a mall or something. I sure the hell am not going to buy my suits from a Walmart Super Center.

What is everyone's recommendation for the nicest apartments in CG? So far, I have Cottonwood Crossing.

Everybody's moving To Casa Grande
See what you did LA Woman? You started a trend 8 years ago, and now everybody wants to move to Casa Grande! It won't be too long now before Bummer starts thinking about moving there!

Actually, we are getting a Target. And a Harkins Theatre. And a Kohls. And many of those other stores that are usually in malls. Our new mall is supposed to open this winter, which will take a lot of Walmarts customers. (Thank GAWD we're finally getting a Target!)
But were also getting Savers thrift store....my favourite of all thrifts, its almost ready to open.
For some, expansion will be good. Many more varieties of stores (besides Walmart) but this will also bring more people out here, maybe many that will occupy the many hundreds of empty new homes that have been sitting idle since the day they were built. But it still wont change how I, personally, feel about my preferences of smaller towns vs a city.
And yes, Cottonwood Crossing is probably a good choice for you, it has the immenities you were asking about.
Hope your interview goes well, by the way!

I just put this reply in another section in here. But at 5:15 this morning, news says it was already 91 degrees. The rest of the Valley looked pretty trecherous too. Yikes!!

We just moved to Casa Grande and our son just started 1st grade last week. I don't know a lot about the nightlife here, but they always talk about parties on the HipHop radio stations. There seems to be a lot going on on weekends. Casa Grande is (from what I've seen) bigger than any other city around here besides Phoenix and Tucson. It's right inbetween Tucson and Phoenix, so in cas you'll get bored you can always go there! ;0) Hope I could help you, Steffi

Interview went well and things are moving forward. I looked at the apartment communities of Las Brisas (a dump), Colony (alright), and Cottonwood Crossings (best of the 3 and will probably do). As far as avoiding scorpions in an apartment, would a second floor unit be better? Still kinda uncomfortable with checking my bed sheets every night. Probably still gonna get roaches though, huh? They must make some kind of metal screen inserts for drains (kitchen sink and bathroom) to prevent those things from climbing up out of the drains, right?

Have you thought about renting a house? You can rent a BRAND NEW house for the same amount (or less) than an apartment. Check out this website: Home Rentals, Homes for Rent, Apartments, Houses for Rent, and Rental Homes
