Is Tombstone still too tough to die?
With economy the way it is will the tourists be kind to Tombstone or is that last shootout just around the corner?
"Whistle me up a memory.................Whistle a tune that will carry me to Tombstone Territory!"
I really love the "Old" West!

I'm sure they might be on hard times, but I think they will make it. I went there this past winter and summer and had lots of fun. The weather was awesome (not like PHX in summer), there was lots of people walking around enjoying them selves. If you have not been there yet I stongly recommend it.

The City Government seems to be at war with the business community, paving the dirt streets that make it seem authentic and passing new regulations that impact the shows and resturants.

Im sure the businesses in the tourist areas will do good, but the rest of town never looked like it has ever done good, recession or not.

I hope they don't "yuppify" it with too much commercialism. I hate when that happens. Little Chloride is hanging in here, despite the hard times, and hopefully, Tombstone will try to stay authentic. Tourists like to see the real thing. They don't want cowboy hats made in China. They want them made in...Tombstone, by Tombstonians.

Seems to me that Tombstone (as always) keeps on doing all it can to stay tough and not die! They've got my respect.

YES! Cowboy hats should always be made in America! Hats from other countries are so unnatural!

I went to Tombstone when I was in Phoenix last November - I had a blast! I took a ghost tour at night with this really knowledgeable guide who was also a volunteer firefighter with the town. Truly a bunch of great folks down there. I hope they're can endure.

I've been there numerous times over the course of the last year.
Seems to be doing ok to me.
