Page, Arizona - A Drunken Mess
I once had a person from the Page Chamber of Commerce tell me that Page, Arizona was a poor mans Sedona. That was before I actually moved to Page, Arizona.
As a visitor in Page, Arizona I never really saw all of the problems that surround this city. After living in Page, Arizona the corruption and problems in Page, Arizona really started to bother me. Here are the things that bothered me about Page, Arizona.
Page Police Department - This is the most corrupt Police Department in the USA without a doubt. These guys will let their buddies drive around the town drunk yet will attack native americans for drinking a soda pop in their vehicle. There is a big big problem in Page, Arizona with drunk driving. If you are a family member or friend of a police officer then you are free to drive drunk in this city. Also if you are a friend or family member of a police officer in this town you are free to break laws. The police department will simply look the other way.
Page School District - The school district is a joke and nepotism pretty much runs everything in the school district. Facilities are kept up well but the majority of the administrators and teachers are incompetent.
City Council - Spend more time sweeping things under the rug than trying to improve the city.
Lake Powell Chronicle- Only prints items that shows the city in a positive light. The members of the paper need to work on being more honest.

You are right about this, except that this is common in every city there is, not just to Page. If you are a cop, and you drink and drive, speed, or whatever, it is ok. In fact, an off duty police officer who gets pulled over drunk simply gets a ride home with no punishment whatsover. |

This sounds a lot like recent posts about Kingman, all of which proved to be much ado about nothing, or not very much.
