I just drink beer 'til the temp drops below 110.
Beer makes me not care....it also makes me happy.
I have it good.
The dog and cat don't like beer....

True. June was so nice that I haven't dared complain all this month.
I felt very bad about moving down here with a Golden Retriever. The heat was hard on her but all retrievers seems to prefer being indoors with people anyway -- no matter the weather.

It's a combination of two things: persistent high pressure systems that block Pacific systems & the summer monsooon moisture from giving us much relief from the heat ... and ... the urban heat island effect in the Phoenix metro area. There used to be a time when even the hottest days would cool off nicely at night, but not so much anymore.
July and August are usually the worst months here for the heat. September can be hot too, but it usualy becomes more pleasant during the late night & early morning hours by the middle part of September. October is still quite warm, but it will usually cool off nicely by about Halloween. November through April are usually very pleasant months in terms of temperature.

I've lived here pretty much my whole life, just over the years I've become more sensitive to heat. I got used to Idaho weather this past summer. The morning feels great though, perfect temp!
And no, I would NEVER leave my dog outside.

It was 103 here in Seattle earlier this week. Thought I was back in Phoenix for a while there.

Don't complain! You could be here in FL with 96 degrees everyday and 90% humidity with daily storms. Honestly, this place is sickening (literally)!! I would love to be back west!!

I would sue. Seriously, if no one person informed you that it is hot here in the summer, then by all means sue.

I know it's been rough. But you gotta remember that July was the hottest month in arizona history. If you made it through that you can live here. Personally I'm gonna stay in my house through the recession(pretty much a depression by now) than after Obamas nearly irreversible damage is done and a republican is elected and helps the economy by the end of his term I will be moving to either Mayer, Globe, prescott, or Payson and commuting to the valley

Feed him icecubes , if you toss them to him he can catch them and chew them up ,or just put them in a bowl . This will bring his temp down a tiny bit .
