Smile Moving to Scottsdale

We are thinking of moving to Scottsdale in the future. Can some locals answer a few questions?

How are the jobs there for a auto mechanic with 25 years of GM dealer experience?

Finding a rental home in a nice area that will allow pets? Will it be difficult? Is AZ pet friendly?

Is Scottsdale Senior friendly?

Thanks to all...........

Scottsdale and the Phoenix area generally are pet friendly. You should be able to find a rental. And, with all the retirees in the Valley, senior friendly is not much of an issue either.

That said, there aren't many GM dealerships left in Scottsdale itself (I'm not sure there are any at all, for that matter). But, there are certainly other auto repair shops.

There is a Chevy dealership off Frank Lloyd Wright and the 101, it's a huge dealership that also has a fleet lot, a friend of mine is a salesman there.

Most of the machics are in their twentys though, so not sure how that would work out.

no problems with pets and seniors.....the Phx/Scotts area is huge and you'll have lots of options.....

just spend time looking around for what will work for you...lots of housing choices

and make sure you'll have a job before making the big move....you may want to live in Scotts, but may have to make the commute to another valley city
