People are free to send DMs, but City-Data doesn't permit real estate recommendations.

I live in Prescott. I am thinking of buying land in Ashfork. However I want it to get away from everything. Camp, ride ect. If the land becomes worth something one day Great if not ,well, It's cheap land so no harm no foul I guess. Maybe my kids will profit one day.I would not buy if you can't afford to pay it off quickly or all at once. By the way having some one bring water is not so bad if you are conservative. There are a lot of places in the mountains this way.

Nope, nothing has changed since this thread started, except "Ash Fork Rat" moved to Houston and the real estate and BBQ markets crashed as a result.

Howdy! I'm looking to move to AZ within the next six months to be closer to family in CA and NV. (Close, but not too close Ash Fork seems to tick off the most boxes, however, I have a couple of questions that y'all might be able to answer.

1. What kind of building restrictions are in place? I'm looking at portable buildings (sheds), shipping containers, earth bag, and earth ship. I want to live off-grid on 5+ acres.

2. Are there many horses in the area? Trails to ride?

TIA for any feedback.
