Well, THANK YOU for reviving a 4 year old thread to tell us that.

Now go read about how Arizona is a terrible place, do not think about living here.

Yeah it's super awesome for 4 months and the rest of the year, you are dealing with the weather if you are outside. I retire soon and we have a winter home in Arizona that we will try wintering in and being snowbirds if we like it.

About the topic, Zona is a beautiful state in certain areas but I would put it below the West coast states and in the same ballpark as other mountain states like Colorado, Montana, Utah and more beautiful than any states east of the Rockies.

Below west coast states? How so? What do they have that we don't (other than lush forests in areas)? Half of Oregon is desert. Not all of Washington is stunning. Heck, even most parts of CA are ho-hum. Colorado is overrated (the Rockies are pretty) if you ask me. And half of CO is a barren, boring wasteland. No one ever seems to remember that when they think of CO! Montana, like all other states, isn't gorgeous all around. Just like the rest, its beautiful in spots, and zzzz in others.

And don't discredit anything East of the Rockies. You would be insane to do so.

Just my opinion, it's okay if yours differs.

I was talking about the most beautiful areas of the states when I made my comments and not the ugliest. To me the most beautiful areas of Washington, Oregon, Cali, Montana, Colorado, Zona are prettier than any state east of the Rockies... Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Glacier are world class beauty.... I love mountains.

Likewise. But one cant deny Maine's beauty. Or the Adirondack's (which are snowy and rocky). Even the Smokies can be stunning. The roads in the Appalachian Mts are, IMO, the best in the USA. Superb, uncluttered views of vast, rugged wilderness. But the Tetons and Yosemite always hold a special place in my heart, as does Yellowstone.

LA is great for Global Warming with burning all that fuel while stuck in traffic....which has resulted in a higher food yield across the planet....good stuff.
