Im my honest opinion, I think Michigan is probably the most underrated state in the nation. Between the fine sand beaches, 500 ft tall sand dunes, towering pines, thundering waterfalls, bluffs and hills, islands, cherry orchards, picture-perfect towns, lighthouses, etc, etc, I think Michigan is absolutely gorgeous, in my top 10 most beautiful states list.

Then again AZ is absolutely gorgeous, too. Between areas like Page, Wickenburg, Grand Canyon, Tombstone, Tucson, the natural scenery in AZ is incredible. Every state has incredible scenery in some form or another and in the end, we're all neighbors sharing an incredibly beautiful and diverse country!

Arizona is AMAZING! So beautiful here. What state can you be in the middle of vast mountationous desert then travel an hour and half north and be compeltely lost in the middle of a dense forest with snow capped mountians and cool pristine lakes? What state can you think of that has a major city that has the hottest summer temperatures in the U.S and averages 11 inches of rain, then travel north and be in a city that has one of coldest average winter in the lower 48 states and have 30-35 inches of more rain and 110 inches of snow? If you do don't bother replying, this is an Arizona forum.

I was just there for almost a week. No sunrises (or sunsets) looked even remotely close to that heavily-saturated image.

I only stayed in Northern Az for 4 days, and from what I saw while staying in Flagstaff, I agree, the area I experienced is beautiful.

One night after visiting the Lowell Observatory, I was last person there after they closed, sitting outside watching the star filled sky waiting for the cab was kind of spooky.......

I consider the prettiest parts of Arizona to be Flagstaff, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon. Where are you referring to?

Nevada.... Mount Charleson, with an elevation of 12,000 feet is only 35 miles away from Las Vegas.

as a native I must disagree. While there are a couple nice areas, most of our desert scenery leaves much to be desired.
