Dolan Springs
I am pondering a website much like Kingman's CAT (Citizen's Action Team HOUSES OF SHAME) Where our neighbors who live like slobs could be showcased, and maybe shamed into living with some consideration for their neighbors.
Not too long ago, I lived on a nice quiet street. Recently 8 people moved in next door with their 6 (now seven) free roaming dogs. They live in two trailers. One which was already on the property, and one 14 footer they moved on the property(not connected to septic). They built a plywood box that someone lives in, too. Their trash blows across my yard, their plastic shopping bags are draped on the cactus and joshua trees on and around my property. The domestic fights go on long inot the night. they and their friends zoom up and down the street
I know I am not alone in the disgust I feel. All of the neighbors have called the health department, animal control, and zoning board and continue to do so, to no avail.
I once enjoyed sitting out on my deck, listening to the quiet and loving the view. Now, I rarely go out side, my dog is afraid to leave the deck. My little piece of paradise has been hijacked!
Anyone interested and willing to post?

Well, that sucks. Thanks for the citizensactionteam link, as I hadn't known about that before. I don't think it's widely known. Plus, it looks like it hasn't been updated since 2007, so I can't imagine how it would have any impact. I do think something like this, if done right, could be a great way for respectable citizens to fight back against low-life neighbors. I'm all for any person's right to live and let live, as long as it doesn't interfere with other's rights to do the same.
Rather than starting another new website, why don't you contact the owner of citizensactionteam and see if they're interested in adding a page for Dolan Springs. Obviously the owner has lost interest in the project, and perhaps you could help revitalize it. Remember, there is strength in numbers. I might even be interested in contributing to the project myself.

Actually, Kdog, the CAT link, "news and arrests" and a few of the other links are updated at least weekly, if not more. I check them frequently to see who, in my neighborhood, has been busted lately.
I really wanted to highlight the mess makers in Dolan. I think we would get lost on the CAT site. but if there is no interest, I may go that route.

Oh, ok. I only scanned through there briefly and saw lots of pictures dated 2007 and didn't see any current stuff. Glad to hear they're keeping it up. And yes, I think this would definitely be your best bet. If they put a link for Dolan Springs in their sidebar, you won't get lost at all.
