Sierra Vista is an ARMY Town. The Fort is Growing so Sierra Vista is growing. There is very little Construction because most of the Construction Companies are working on the Fort. So housing is actually going up.

Unless you are SURE you wont be leaving the area for great while, there may not be a case for home ownership if a purchase just feels wrong. At this junction it looks like it could head either way so if you end up needing to move in a few years you could be caught with your pants down so to speak. However Phx development was rampant and maybe its be done differently in SV. If they dont create mass quantities of oversupply as phx did, and it sounds like they didnt to date, maybe demand will remain tight?
It definitly seems like overpaying to us...even if realtors I've spoken with keep saying - 'the market is what it is.' Locals dh works with though don't seem to think its dipped all the way and say be cautious. They are even looking more towards vail/tucson area. Priced out of here for sure if people are willing to drive over an hour to work.

Yep sure is growing...good thing...job security. To bad for us we probably won't own a home is this community anytime soon though. Maybe renting will grow on us.

Have the valued dipped down there and regained? or have they never fallen off at all?
I got out of the West Valley at the top. I've noticed some prices have gone up 15% in the past month or two.
