Its funny as I was thinking of moving down that way and all he did was yell NO NO NO NO. Like AZ he says, the weather is great but there are so many other things you have to put up with, at least for him and his 30+ years there, hes done.
Traffic did indeed suck in spots, but it wasnt anything compared to Chicago IMO, I didnt think it was that bad at all really. I was there for a week and got stuck a few times, but it constantly moved although at a slow pace. San Diego is one of those special places on earth where Id be content being a bum, just as long as I got to stay in the area and wake up to an ocean breeze, 80 degrees year round, native palm trees, gorgeous scenery and the beach. Nothing better on earth. Nothing.

Now you know better. San Diego is mediterrean desert. No native palm trees there. Get down to the coast past Tijuana and you can see exactly how it looked before irrigation. The coastal plane also tends to be foggy and hazy six months of the year.

A guess that's why on about half of my visits to San Diego (mostly Carlsbad) the weather has been disappointing - foggy and cool. Certainly not LA weather. It's great getting out of the heat of Phoenix or Vegas but going from 100 degrees to a damp 65 degrees with fog doesn't make much sense. I've always been puzzled with zonies love affair of San Diego.

I too wanted to relocate back to PV, Az. yet I too have been getting this same horrible feedbacks. I am still coming back to Az. I just can't believe it is all this bad. Sorry. If you are so unhappy as you sure seem to be then it is you who needs to leave Az. Most people love it there.

Default People who don't like it there in Az any longer

I am pleased to share that I still love Arizona state and do hope to return back there in good time. I read so many bad things on the Forum in regards to your state and wonder why you are still there if it is as bad as you put on here. I for one don't believe you now in saying how bad Az is. I am still returning back there. Happy Thanksgiving to all the normal happy residence there and have a wonderfull winter. Good Night, Connie

Are you referring to my comments? I was just calling out the maker of this thread (Freeverse) because they had made several contradictory posts about how long and if they even lived in AZ-- I expressed this in that post, but the mod felt it necessary for some reason to delete the part of it that made the whole post make sense...-- I mean really, the person that started this thread was obviously a dupe, just from looking at their other posts, but whatever...

I personally love it here and will never ever leave!! Moving here was the best thing I ever did! I wish you luck in getting back to AZ.

I have learned to just take all these negative posts here with a grain of salt. I know I love it here, and I know why. To each their own. The persons who post negatively are entitled to their opinion, save incorrect or ignorant information. There are negative aspects of wherever you might live. It seems the same 6 people here on this forum seem to blow the negatives of AZ waay out of porportion.

Default Frost?

Anyways, besides the Plainfield tornado, I cant recall a single tornado thats been fatal in my entire life. We dont get them that often at all, this year we only had 2 warnings. Not bad at all. Plus, Phoenix has had some as well, although rare. But, like you said, theres no perfect place to live. Except maybe San Diego.
Frost in the AM sometimes in the winter.. Heats up to 65-70 during the day.. That isn't cold.. And yes, we natives DO wear shorts, sandals, and t-shirts all year. If its 50* or less, we put on a light jacket or sweatshirt. But rarely do we take the shorts and sandals off, period.

Phoenix is not a place for innocent people, it's filled with criminals from all walks of life, it's ranked 1st in car theft and 1st in red lights runovers, the goverment is also corrupted like it is in Los Angeles, there are illegal aliens every where you go, trees are blocking views at corners make it very hard for people who drive around. Air pollution is worser than anhywhere in the country, graffities now are big problems that nobody in the goverment care, some commentators said othewise, maybe they are real estate agents and live inside the tube, tell them to so some shopping around 16th street and Broadway, and come back here to tell their stories, provided they're still alive . If I were you, I would rather stay in VA with all the great American values that you don't find it here except may be in Scottsdale. Good luck. Phoenix is not what it used to be. I'm moving to Costa Rica.
