I live outside of the Florence area in a residence and see people bring their portable fire-pits and barbecues in front of their house, near the sidewalk even though all have a backyard. Could anybody tell me if this is illegal or not approved by the Fire-Department for instance, especially in Summer? Appreciate your help my friends and I are having a discussion about that!

Nothing illegal going on as long as it is a contained fire pit or BBQ. And if one wants to have a self-dug firepit one just has to get a burning permit...free from the Fire Department.

Sorry, DesertDovey . . .

Definitely no Florence Ordinance Expert here but if you are serious with your question you should contact the Office of The Mayer for a official answer.
