It's one thing to be a snow bird, it's a whole different thing to live here year round. If I was a snow bird this place wouldn't be that bad.

i lived in yuma for 12 years and it was absolutley the worst place ive ever lived in. summers are way to hot, and its practicly a part of mexico now. please do not move there! also if your familiar with a cold climate you know the gas companys jack the price up of natural gas in the wintertime, so if your bill is around $25 in the summer its now almost over $100 in the winter, same can be said with electricity (especially airconditioners) wich if you have one costs hundreds and hundreds of dollars in electricity in yuma

We live in the Las Cruces area and we are selling from here to RV full time. We will not be snowbirds though since we are keeping our registration in NM. I doubt that we come to Yuma that often but when we do we will stay on our property out in Dateland where there is little traffic and wide open spaces and....(drum roll) *****ly Pear Cactus Shake and Date Shakes.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I think that MAB thinks anyone is racist because they don't appreciate the racism and rudeness that comes from some Hispanics. Is that how you fell MAB?

He said"THE HISPANIC PEOPLE HERE ARE SO RUDE"
does that not include include every single hispanic in yuma?
He did not say the people of yuma are rude,he specifically said HISPANICS were rude.
Which I view as racist, not because Im hispanic but because its like saying all white people are crackheads, trailer trash or uneducated rednecks.
That would be ignorant of me to say something like that, just like it was ignorant saying that "THE HISPANICS ARE RUDE"
I dont appreciate the racismn and rudeness of SOME white people, but does that mean that I can say ALL WHITES are racist and rude?
Id be an ignorant moron if I did that.

You sir are COOL.
I love it when we are eating at a restaurant and a senior smiles and gives compliments on my two kids.
I always tell my wife, that It makes me happy to see seniors enjoying life, that they probably worked hard most of their life, and raised kids but now they get to relax and enjoy the wonderful AZ winter weather.
See you around.

I pay on average $40 a month to southwest gas
and 105 a month to APS.
This is for a 4 bedroom house over 2000 Sq feet.
My commute to work 5 minutes compared to my sster in laws 1 1/2 hours in LA.
You have a right to not like Yuma, but when people have to make up lies to get their point across is when it ticks me off.

Well,I say:good for you,Ill take the heat.
theres plenty things I get to do in 110 degree weather that you cant do in -10 degrees.
Like using my swimming pool, going to a baseball game outdoors at sunset and just taking a 2 hour drive to san diego to spend my weekend at the beach.
Plus from october to june I can enjoy great weather.
I agree with you elfyum,I say they stop making up lies, shut up and move back to alaska.
I love Miami and orlando,I too have heard people whinning about Fla but I love it.

Guess some people have to learn the hard way. Sun screen and sunglasses are a must in sunny AZ.
