The easiest thing to find out about a place is the weather. A REAL no brainer!! This is what interests me about Yuma. Thanks frosty pants. Go away so I have a place there. Temperatures below 80 are agony to me. 110? I LOVE IT. My normal body temperature is 100.2, always was, got me out of school any day I'd please, HAH! Minnesota? Why would anyone ever have lived in a place where you could DIE in 5 minutes flat? The Yuma hispanic community is just about to get 1 man larger.

are you rude, like the rest of us hispanics in yuma?
Its funny because the white people that I know in Yuma are supercool with the hispanics, and viseversa.
But some white people in this forum make it sound like hispanics and whites dont get along in Yuma. But thats BS,because you even see lots of mixed couples here.
Not trying to turn this into a race thing,Im just stating that besides a few rednecks.Yuma is a city with very little racial tension.
Marco,bienvenido a Yuma amigo.

Unless you have a pool, your are stuck inside. It is to hot for children to play outside all summer long. No choice, my husband is in the Navy and we are stationed here, thank god we are leaving in a few months. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider coming here and checking it you before you decide!!!!!!!!

I have lived in Yuma a number of years and had to move for personal reasons. Being Latino I found the people friendly, but the summers horrible!!!!, and it doesn't cool off at night either!!!! Yuma has experienced incrediable growth since I move out, I still have family there so I visit often. But if your single it is boring with not much to do. The people for the most part are consevitive which was not a issue with me. But for me summers can be very depressing.

Wow! I am a proud Yuma year round resident for over 60 years and dearly love it. The desert is a beautiful place, we have green farm fields and can grow just about any vegetable there is. We have a beautiful new out door mall with name brand dept stores and restaurants. We NEVER have snow and not much rain. Most people that live here for any length of time, move away but always come back, Yuma grows on you. Our sleepy little town has grown by leaps and bounds. If you want to know about Yuma, just email me and I will tell you whatever I can. We also have a lot of recreation, close to the sand dunes, just across the Colorado River. We have many new Hotels and more on the way. We were rated #1 for fastest boomtown last year and rated #2 this year. We have at least 4-5 months of very mild winter weather, sure it gets hot in summer but not like the midwest where you swelter in the shade, our cars, homes, stores, offices are all refrigerated. We have numerous golf courses and parks, lakes for your boats and fishing. Soon to be built a water park.

hello let me tell you summers really suck here, they are so incredibly hot here and dont cool down at all at night, just like she said up above but as far as being racist yes it is somewhat. i am a Native American woman and my family is also, we are ok here not too much besides funny looks and rude comments from the snowbirds trying to be funny, i know of several black people that live here and have no problems. oh but yes it is smelly big time! lots of sewer problems here
