The teenagers there find that exciting? Maybe I need to rephrase. How many towns are there that are desirable places for adults to live where the average teenager wouldn't complain of being bored on a regular basis.

I am currently in the process of looking to moving to Concho (Concho valley) which is about 25 minutes out of show low due to the fact that property is considerably a lot cheaper then most towns. I was wondering if anyone new much about Concho and about the winter drive from Concho to show low for work? I am worried about black ice mostly. I am currently living in mesa down in the valley and want out of the valley due to the high pollution, crime, and busy city life that comes with living down here in the area. What kind of reputation does Concho (Concho Valley) have and what kind of people live there?

No there isn't, I live just outside of Show Low city limits. If I could I'd give you 2 thumbs down for that comment.

Bingo is held on Friday 7:00 pm at the Elks Lodge. Dancing, the Elks here don't do anymore.

Whiteriver - about 40 minutes away - is a major Apache Indian reservation.

Navajos and Zunis are in the northern areas of AZ and in NM.

For those interested in Show Low (my mother and brother live there - and I used to) please flip back several pages and you will find one or two threads already written on the subject.

My only warning to anyone would be don't live there if you are looking for a fun place with lots of nightlife. Other than the nearby Hon Dah Indian Casino (Apache), there is a dirth of things to do in the area after 8 PM.

It's a nice enough town and area - if one is not looking for an exciting life.

I recently moved to Show Low to retire. Lots to do if your not young and like the outdoors & peace & quiet. Unhappy teens brought from So Cal.
