That's quite a bit of free time. I'll PM ya my telephone number, as this could be a long conversation. That being said, do you like to hike? I would recommend doing a hike at Mt Hualapai Park. Climb up to one of the peaks and get a view that will knock your socks off. It's a stiff hike though, but if you're up to it, it's very rewarding. Figure on 3 to 4 hours for that. Maybe lunch at the Hualapai Lodge after that. Or an afternoon hike and dinner there.

Slinky,

What ever came of your adventure to Kingman? I've been following this thread as I too am in my twenties and have applied for a position out here as well. It's been very nice to hear all the opinions. Hope everything works out for you!

I recently moved to Kingman, az from Oregon due to a separation and my father lived out here. To sum it up, I'm moving back within the next few days. Very little in work, I attended the local college in the summer term and the class work was less than challenging. I'm 27 years old and obviously single now. I enjoy the "night life" which is pretty much not a reality here unless you want to go to the bowling alley for dancing or a hole in the wall bar called dj's and be hit on by the trailer dwellers. Shopping is non existant, I order all my clothes online and find it mildly amusing people point out that "shopping is only fourty miles away". I guess I just prefer something larger, weather is fine besides the excessive wind... I've met a few nice individuals as well but from being at the bar scene I have encountered mostly people looking to smoke some meth with me and that is not my gig. I see this as a town that has been set in its ways and it's not changing any time soon. Probably suited well for older couples & the retired bunch, not someone in their mid twenties. One thing, it's easy to SHINE here....
