Later, on our next trip, we asked at the general store if we could buy a water barrel. They didn't have any barrels for sale, but my new best friend Mel was there painting a sign for the store. "You need a water barrel?" Mel asked. "Well," he said after some thought, "I'll give you directions out to my ranch. There's a couple out there you can have." I'd never met Mel until that moment.
So, you make up your own mind about the folks around Bridge Canyon.

Mel is like this with just about everyone. Hes just a very warm hearted person and the type that likes everybody and will help everybody, no matter who they are so him doing this for you is nothing at all unusual. I know him quite well as hes been in the area for a long time.
Wait until you run across some of the ones weve mentioned before and a few of thier 'followers' and you will definately see what i mean. You would be quite surprised about how much bs they can come up with and expect you to believe it, or pretend they like you when they really dont, or if they have any indication that you want no part in thier little cliques or they decide they dont like you for some reason. Just wait until you come across these types in the area and believe you me, they are loaded around the area as they all stick together. You will be thanking us for the forewarning.

yavapai county zoning laws re. rv's
I answered an ad for a private rv space on a residential 3 acres the woman lives on. Near skull valley off iron springs road. The woman said she didn't think it would be a problem with zoning, since I'd be hooked up to a septic, 220 volt elec. and water from her well. Is this legal? I need to know before I leave the space I'm in-a very tiny rv/mobile home park. Can anyone help with the answers I need very soon? Does the rv need a current tag on at all times here? I'm form out of state and its different there.

All is legal and no tags will be required on the trailer as long as the trailer is stationary and you dont plan on moving it over the roads. I see no problem in your setup there. Only problem i DO see is how that area is zoned, however, if it is an actual RV park you are in then there should not be any problems with zoning. I believe that if any problems DO occur then it would be on the landowner and not on you.

Hi, You can get a copy of zoning laws for particular areas you are looking for at the County Admin Building in Prescott. They would be your best bet on that.

Looking for Seligman
I didn't want to start a new thread, but I suppose I can if necessary. I have a cousin who lives - or lived - in Seligman, and he had property out there somewhere. If he's not dead yet, he'll probably want to sell it pretty soon. Is anyone familiar with Seligman? Does anyone know how to find out about a missing old man there?

you can do a search through the YC tax or property records to find out if he is still around the area or not. or try locally asking people. i find its not best to ask for or leave real names online.

Hello Bob F,
To answer your questions, APS will be the main electric utility supplier for most of the area. I cannot think of any other suppliers that supply that area.
For Septic Percs, my very best recommendation is the Birch boys. Anyone in town can direct you to them. However, the best one to contact would be Joey Birch as that is his specialty. He lives directly behind the Snow Cap off Railroad Ave. You will see some of his equipment there.
For info pertaining to the properties you are interested in, go to the Yavapai County GIS website and search for "Bridge Canyon Estates". It will bring up listings on each Unit or you can just go into thier office there on Fair Street in Prescott (i think it is Fair Street).

Bridgecanyonfire,
Thanks for your quick response and good information. I have found the phone number of APS and will call them today. I have ordered a Seligman phone book from the historical society and should be better able to locate folks like Joey Birch.
Can you tell me where I can pick up water locally for a storage tank I plan to place on my property?
P.S. - Do you know if Bill M. ever moved there from CT? Just curious after reading some old posts.
