The vast grasslands of the highway 191/181/186 loop that passes through Sunsites, Sunizona, Dos Cabezas and Willcox in SE Arizona. These 2 shots are of the area along 181 and the southern stretches of 186. As you can see, this is NOT desert, but rather higher-elevation grasslands. These photos were taken in midwinter (January of 2007) so the grass is dead. Springime should be lovely and green. Looks like perfect horselands to me.

Ken

Wow, I'm honored that someone would use my own photos. Although the ones you selected are hardly ones I would use to showcase Arizona. A couple of those pictures were what I would call "sarcastic photography." Here's some better ones I have taken:

Catalina State Park, in Oro Valley, AZ:

Tucson, shot from the top of a parking garage at UofA:

Prescott in the winter:

Shopping center in the Village of Oak Creek (outside Sedona):

Papago Park:

Oh yeah, here's another one of my all time favorite pictures. Here's our favorite hero, taken on the side of the road in Wikieup, AZ, on the way to Vegas:

Not a mod - But I think you were unable to access the first pics because the person linked directly to a webshots account.. or something like that. - and Webshots usually seems pretty picky on direct linking.

The second ones you were able to access because they were hosted here on City-data.com
