I'm relocating to AZ. It'll be me, my 14 yr. old son, and my Mother (retired from law enforcement).

I'm self-employed, and have owned my own business for 15 years now so I'm able to relocate anywhere.

My Mom and son both have asthma. Mom also has high blood pressure, a brain tumor, and a prolapsed heart valve.

I'm legally blind, other than that -- no major medical problems.

I'd like to find a city with good medical facilities, family oriented things to do, with good private schools for grades 9-12, and either a really good Community College or University. My son plans to be an Architect.

I'm looking for a city that is mostly sunny, not too hot (less than 100 degrees) or too cold (higher than 50 degrees). I'd prefer an area where there aren't many rabies infected animals running around (I read about the coyotes and mountain lions).

Once there, I plan to buy a dog for my son and don't want to see the puppy get attacked.

We're into fishing (favorite thing to do), boating, golf, sight seeing, community theater, ballet, opera, and dining out.

We also like to do things like go to the zoo, the aquarium, the planetarium, and the circus.

Any suggestions about which cities would fit the bill for us?

Thanks in advance!

So you are looking for Heaven.

@LMAO! No, not really Heaven, just someplace nice that isn't too cold or too hot.

Due to medical problems that my Mom and my son have, extreme cold weather (like here in IL) and extreme hot weather (like Nevada -- where I'm from) is too much for them to handle health-wise.

I just perused your first post: did not realize that you are legally blind.

Why I am commenting on that is public transportation is not the best in most of Arizona..........which may rule out Prescott. Bummer since its climate is not bad; compared to Illinois (cold) or Phx (hot). Although the Phx area has everything else you are looking for--------Tempe in particular including the Light Rail.

Oh, that's OK. I don't take public transportation. My Mother lives with me and she drives. My son has also told me as soon as he's old enough to drive, he'd be happy to take me anywhere I needed to go.

I have plenty of help, so it's OK.

Then Prescott IMHO wins hands down, besides it is one hour away from Sedona, etc.

Sorry, ArizonaBear . . . Prescott hits "dead on" only with the weather.

My recommendation would be Tucson or possibly Sierra Vista but neither have all of the "must haves" {geek} mentioned.

yeah, all the urban areas that have the things you need, don't have the weather you want.
