You really don't want a private pool...too much work! Both are really nice, priced under $230,000 and close to the big mall, Arrowhead Mall, as well as lots of shopping and restaurants. If you need a terrific realtor, I can suggest one (we went through several over the years and this one is great.) Good luck! I can't wait to move! (We are from Chicago). Oh, Peoria Park District has a Fit Over Fifty program that has everything from Yoga to stain glass making, field trips, tons of dances, etc.!
Good luck to you!
Thank you so very much to everyone for all the tips...yes, I will be in need of a realtor who can not also suggest really nice places but can help me to find decent and safe motels or hetels to stay for 2-3 weeks at a time whilie I look around (pet friendly as well if thats possible..or I'll have to leave them with friends). Bless you all for your help!!

We've worked with quite a few folks lately from back east. We came from Maryland before here. It's just too cold back there. The other nice thing about Prescott is that it is almost always sunny. Even if it's 50 degrees outside, it feels warm, because the sun is shining.

If you decide to come to the Prescott area, give us a holler. We would love to help you out.

Cheers,
Brian

Have you considered Sierra Vista? It is a nice quiet town just south of Tucson. I live out in the sticks and have been aware of only 3 rattlers in 2.5 yrs. I think they stay away when there are dogs around.
