That's 4 years ago, don't you think that in 4 years the problem could have changed or worsened? And if you never lived in Phoenix you never experience the problems here.

What I didn't miss is the fact that the Governor of New Mexico sent guard troops to the border within days of Robert Krentz's murder.

I agree. We need the federal government needs to send troops to the border. As many as needed should be sent.

But, what is keeping Miss G.E.D. Brewer from sending troops? Don't you think the ranchers would appreciate the extra manpower at the border?

SB 1070 DOES NOTHING TO SECURE THE BORDER. NOTHING.

I guess the burial of a Phoenix Police Officer the other day - the one gunned down was just an allusion.

Same with the shooting of the Pinal county Deputy

Illusions all

Maybe the violent crimes are down due to all the illegals fleeing the city?

When did I claim Phoenix was a war zone? I simply stated that you didn't have the right to make claims about a city you never lived in.

Considering that thousands of illegals have left already, and the violent crime rate is down, one can make a correlation between the two figures.

You beat me to it. I was going to say also most the same thing. The evidence will be coming in the future when all the illegal's finally get booted back where they came from. The annual state budget will finally get to see a surplus and that money can be spent on highways, education, etc., for LEGAL Arizonians. We can recall all the laidoff teachers who are in that position because the illegal aliens drained all the systems of Arizona. I will find ya some facts about the positives of the bill beating out the negatives. Been gone all day.Not to far in the decent future, we will be able to walk down the streets of Phoenix and not get killed. Mod cut: Personal and your opinion only.

Don't forget the thousands spent per person for jail/prison time, with all the illegals deported, those costs should drop significantly.

Still waiting to hear what you think should be done about the illegals already there.

*RANT*
When we see the examples in existence in Europe that has been subject to rampant illegal immigrants, the situation in once strong economies having to pay social schemes to those who don't deserve them, and fighting the demand of the illegals who wage war on their host countries economy through acts of violence, vandalism , criminal activity and demands for free health care, education, and rights, -and on top of that demand to be treated properly..
......when those illegals should have stayed in their own countries to make their demands they are so frequently heard in their host countries........and suffer the consequences that came with such outbusts.

Illegals are illegals. They have no rights. They should not be heard by the liberals with their whining and demands. They have no right to burn effigies or flags - if they want to they must do that in their own country where "everything is better" HA!.. Go home! They have no right to organized protest or money grabbing lawyers who defend them. They have no right to preferential treatment, neither can they use the much abused "profiling" as an excuse....

Responsible immigrants who have done all the paperwork, have qualified as residents, and are respectful of their position before the laws of the land and pay taxes, honor the constitution and are productive, pay their bills, and are responsible law-abiding people can then qualify for equal rights by becoming citizens.

They can then vote, responsibly, for their future without violence, demands, or having handouts. ...and I can assure many of you out there that once the majority have become American Citizens, their point-of-view will have changed, and they will be grateful to America for all it has to offer.

Top economists would disagree with what these bitter people are saying. For instance, Former Federal Reserve Chairman A. Greenspan reiterated and reinforced the fact that the undocumented have always been a net gain to the economy not an economic drain.
Most cities with little or no undocumented such as Detroit, Philadelphia and St Louis have terrible economies. Compare them to Houston. Dallas and San Diego; (where there are more than a million undocumented living in each city). they are thriving and have less crime.
As far as criminality, natives are more likely to commit a crime than an undocumented. read site below.
The vast number of the undocumented come here to work and they do work hard. They work for less but create wealth for everyone. If it wasn't for them houses here in Houston would cost triple or more. (If we had to pay lazy US workers, we would have to pay and arm and a leg for less work. In addition they would of course demand higher wages, vacation, workers comp. unions, they will be suing you, etc.) With the money the undocumented have save me with the cost of my house I was able to purchase some new cars and took several trips to Europe. Now that's what I call wealth creation.
