What happened to the following projects planned for Kingman?

Walmart distribution center
Rhodes residential development
New medical center

Just looked online at some houses for sale in Kingman and prices seemed to have dropped significantly. There were also quite of few uncompleted residential housing tracts for sale. Does that suggest that the demand for new housing has dropped?

Walmart distribution center: Unknown

Rhodes residential development: Rhodes is bankrupt. He's selling off some of the property, but keeping other parts.

New medical center: HMMC is completed and open for business.

Not sure what you're seeing regarding demand for new housing, or unfinished tracts. In my area I am seeing new homes being completed and they are selling.

Yeah, that makes sense. Both of those are huge tracts of desert, outside the city limit. I've driven through some of those areas, which are all still dirt roads, and couldn't believe they thought they were going to sell all those houses. Guess it was wishful thinking on their part. The areas that are being built and sold these days are inside the city limits. Rancho Santa Fe, and the Hualapai Foothills areas are two places that come to mind.

If depends on what you like. If you must be as close as possible to the River, or you intend to spend a lot of time in Laughlin, then you might like Bullhead. However, the summer heat there is almost unbearable. Plus, I think Kingman is a more homey kind of town. is walmart waiting for the Hoover Dam bypass completion before they begin? Has there not been any mention or speculation on when walmart will break ground on the project?
