Hello all,

I am looking for some advice.

I may have an opportunity to move to Arizona due to a possible work promotion. I may be jumping the gun a bit, but if i do get the position i will have to move quickly.

My office will be located in Apache Junction, but we have offices throughout Arizona that i will have to visit up to once a week. I believe the furthest location from Apache Junction will be Nogales.

I grew up in a small town and have lived in one my whole life. (20k population) I am sort of looking for a similar situation small town living, but am not opposed to a little larger area.

I know virtually nothing about housing this area of the country.

I am a 41 y/o single male with 2 young pups and i am looking for some advice as to where to start looking for housing and where not to look....

I figured this would be a good place to start my search!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Small, and still close enough to the highways to make those trips tolerable. Hmmm. So how many days a week are you going to be in the office in AJ? Near there really needs to be your home base, if you are there say 3 days a week and traveling the other two. So, you aren't going to get anyplace that really has a small town feel. Queen Creek would give you the closest to it, and is several miles south of AJ. I'm not sure of the commute route and what it would be like.

Well, that is a start. I am thinking probably 2 or 3 days in AJ. The rest would probably be hitting the other offices.....at least initially. Ideally I would like to be in or near AJ everyday, but to start off i know i will be travelling between offices ALOT!

I'm thinking AJ would be where to start looking. You are not going to get 'small town' in the Phoenix area, but AJ would be the closest to it. And, being so far out there, when you are not traveling for business, you don't have to participate in the traffic. I would start looking east of Meridian-the border of AJ. Watch out for pockets of less desireable areas. I never lived in this area (we are from south Scottsdale), but visited. Boni
