Question Unknown dangers

I've found a great apartment in the Gov Mansion Historic District (Downtown Little Rock) on broadway. I don't have a car and need to be close to the Clinton school. How is this neighborhood? I've heard so much about gang violence in little rock. We basically have to rent it sight unseen am I walking into danger??

Sight unseen, you are being brave- I would never do that.

I live in the Gov Mansion Historic District right a block off of Broadway, and I love the neighborhood.

What is the cross street?

that area is actually a little iffy. anything east of Main, you want to stay north of 17th Street.

south of I-630, try to stay between Main and Chester, and north of Roosevelt. on the north side of I-630, it's okay to go east of Main all the way to I-30. that's the MacArthur Historic District, and it's really cool. and there's also the aforementioned okay area east of Main over to Commerce, north of 17th Street. feel free to keep posting specific addresses!

I should perhaps mention, though it probably goes without saying: these are downtown neighborhoods, with all that entails. it's very diverse racially, as well as socioeconomically; you've got everything from rich folks to poor folks to, yes, homeless and transient folks. if you're the kind of person who wants a neighborhood with nothing but people just like you, look elsewhere. personally, I love it. lots of interesting people, beautiful architecture, and history all around. I wouldn't live anywhere else!

That's all right? I don't think so. You don't have to look at them to be mugged.

I believe this is what is known as a "troll." Everyone needs a hobby, but I prefer gardening...

That's a pretty big place, and looks very nice. A house that large for that price is the only thing that raises an eyebrow for me, but I don't know the area as well as jenni-b.

that's a fantastic house, not far from me at all. the previous residents had shows there, it was kind of an underground venue called Lazer Puzzy.
