You're making a big mistake by coming here. There are no jobs. And the jobs that we have will most likely be leaving sooner or later.

Sorry, if you get this message to late. Plan on relocating again. Because if you, your husband or whatever looses his job, he will most likely have to move again. But that's not a bad thing if you can get away from here.

One tip, save up as much money as you can while you're here. That way, you'll be prepared when you have to move again....which will most likely happen.

Sorry if this wasn't the news that you wanted to hear. But sometimes the truth hurts. It's been causing me pains down here for years.

I moved here from New Jersey 5 years ago. It took some getting use to at first. We live in East Camden about 10 miles from "town" and the nearest store>Walmart. Camden School district has excellent teachers, but there are many "problem" students/familes from 5th grade on up. I currently reside in East Camden "Womack Subdivision." I would never move to Camden and put my children in a public school. I would home school if I had to live in Camden. East Camden is a smaller district, Harmony Grove School District, and has more of a protective net for my high school son. The Womack Subdivision is about 1 mile from Highland Industrial park which has Lockhead, Aerojet, Armtec, etc... My husband travels a mile to work. Wow! I teach and travel only 2 miles to work. When I leave East Camden I am always grateful to come back home. This is a tremendously Christian community with many caring people. My children are somewhat insulated here in East Camden from the typical wordly temptations. If you are white you can live in East Camden and still attend Camden schools (not that I reccomend it.) Contrastly if you are black and live in Camden your child can still attend a school in East Camden. This is due to a court case in the past that regulates the racial enrollment for Camden and East Camden schools. Smackover school district is wonderful. I was very impressed when I visited that school district. If you have any questions about school go to the Arkanasas Dept of Education website and see the ratings on each school district.
