Ticks aren't a concern in the city unless you're around a lot of animals. Walking through tall grass in the country the right time of year is another story. In that case, be careful of "seed ticks". Inspect your socks thoroughly after walking. Seed ticks are very tiny. See the period on your keyboard? They're smaller than that!
The other thing is, don't expect to find good Mexican food here. Even though there seem to be many Hispanic people in certain areas, they haven't seemed to have brought the great cuisine with them.

The job market depends heavily on what you have experience in, what you are willing to work for, and how much education you have.
Jobs are out there, but they may not be what you are used to- and the pay is not great anywhere, but remember the COL is lower here too.

My keyboard is so old I can't see the period or the M for that matter.

My husband just has a high school diploma. He has worked at a warehouse for 8 years doing construction, refrigeration, labor, etc. I am a Pharmacy Technician, but would be willing to work anywhere in the medical field.

Baxter Country Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home is huge and probably a good place for you to check out then. Also- there are several factories and dozens of construction companies as well. (I work for a construction company in Mt Home for the summer and buisness is booming!)
Mt. Home is a draw for the retired folks- so medical is a good profession to be in here.

Hi,
I live in Evening Shade which is in North Central Ar. What kind of information you are looking for and where you are moving to maybe I can help.

Preferably Salem. That it where my mom lives. But I am interested in the area. I would like to keep my kids in the Salem School District.
