My family and I are thinking about relocating to NWA, preferably Fayetteville, Springdale, area. My question is we are looking to spend about 150k for a house and looking on the internet we see alot of nice houses. The only thing is although the houses look nice, how are the neigborhoods? Any suggestion on schools and neighborhoods along the 150k housing price.
Thank you |

I would recommend you shop cautiously in this price range if looking at Springdale. Springdale has been challenged by the population growth and the influx of ESL students has really strained the school system. If set on Springdale, you may want to look at neighborhoods in Lowell or off Carley Road south of Sunset.
Newer neighborhoods in Fayetteville in that price range are going to be nice and Fayetteville schools are good. For better price value and equally as good school systems look at some of the small communities around Fayetteville - Greenland, Farmington, West Fork, Elkins - all neat little communities and relatively convenient to the rest of NWA. |

agree with Boulder. In Rogers area, $125K will get you a brand new 3br 1400 sq ft house..... that is right on top of your 'neighbor', and most likely in a neighborhood that will be going fully 'ESL'.
You are better off buying in an older neighborhood... unless you want to go above the $200K mark. |

Pea Ridge AR is a small community with great access to highways, yet it retains its rural flavor. It is north of Fayetteville and close to Rogers and Bentonville. Housing can be found for $120 and up. I live in a new subdivision there and really enjoy not having to face the traffic jams. If you would like information regarding realtors and builders, send a reply
