Default Wood Burning Stove Installation

I was wondering if anyone on the forum knows someone who is experienced
with installing stoves? We have our own, and will be trying to find someone
who is experienced at installing. We will be checking out the fireplace and stove stores, but thought maybe there were independents out there who do this.

you might want to first check with your homeowners insurance, because we were going to install one on our house, and Allstate, wouldn't insure it....

Just some advice...

adysmom-----thanks for the response. My insurance won't cover it, so I'll probably shop around for someone different. I'll have to do some research. I mainly want a wood burner in case there's no electricity for an extended period of time. My present insurance said that an electric baseboard space heater would be okay. Shoot, that wouldn't heat anything. What's with THAT? And I think they're not all that safe. I think they just want people to have a regular furnace, but no way I can afford that.

I have a heater/AC window unit on the upper floor, and they didn't like that either.

Maybe if I jumped up and down continuously, flapping my arms for warmth they might approve. :-)
