Default Dry Counties More Facts.

Please note the stats, for Wet and Dry Counties! It is not the Baptist or the Church which controls these stats, but Individuals preference. I drink and I retired here. If I decided to have a Beer I wouldn't wish to drive to get it. This would be illegal after 2 Beers. So I chose a wet county but totally support the dry ones, this is also a choice you can make for yourself. Here are the Stats and Below is what I have for County Listing. Please understand I have found no finer place in the world, and was a pilot for 27 years. I came from Cali For Nia but in 3 years my roots are so deep here, that if you made me move, the Tree Would Die, "The Tree is Me". So here are the stats.

I totally disagree with you:it is the churches and their power that keep the issue off the ballot. I have lived a couple of places where, if you were to ask people one to one about wet versus dry, 75% would say wet, but those are not always the ones that even know where to find a petition to sign. In almost every case where there have been enough signitures to get such an issue on the ballot it has past. BTW, yes, you have listed the dry and wet counties, it is helpful and appreciated, but it is also important to point out, many of the dry countries do allow sale of spirtis in restaurants, just by having a card or being a private club. In BV I know this is the case plus you only have to go a mile over into Mo to stock up. I know what you are saying about living in a wet county. I have always wondered the logic behind keeping an area dry. There is a loss of sales tax plus the chance of more drinkers, driving further and possibly causing more accidents. Nita

PS: No one will ever convince me it it the people that control the legalization of spirit sales. We can argue this all day and night> How bout over a nice tall one?
