Hi, I'll be transfering to Marion Arkansas for my work. I was hoping, maybe someone could help me out with finding housing. I want to rent first then probably buy a house.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can find houses for rent in Marion? I might be moving in as little as 2 weeks. |

Born and raised in West Memphis, although moved away about 11 yrs. ago. My mom called last week (she still lives there) to tell me that The Evening Times burned down about a week ago, so you probably won't have much luck searching that paper. Know that the Lackey's owned lots of rental property at one time in West Memphis. You also might try the West Memphis Chamber of Commerce. They may could point you in the right direction. Good Luck!

The Evening Times is continuing to put out papers in spite of their recent fire, so the news is still available. The Friday evening edition is the best for rentals.

What's the housing market like in Marion???

Many new homes/subdivisions in Marion. Building Permits set another record in 2006. The small rental market is very tight, not many homes available for rent. When a rental becomes available, it is not available for long. Anything nice to rent is not going to be inexpensive. Lackey still has rental property in Marion. Try The Jander Group, Inc., Andrew Musashe, Phone: 901-428-3000
Fax: 870-559-3141. They have a couple of new houses listed on rentalhouses.com in the $1,250-$1,350 range. There are a couple of apartment complexes as well., The Greens at Marion. |
