I'm in the same situation. I moved down for about 5 months. During that time, I traded my 09 Dodge Ram for a 2013 Ram . Payments were cheaper but here is the kicker.

I've bought 4 other Rams in Michigan so I was not familiar with this AR sales tax.

The salesman never told me. And I never asked.

Now I'm trying to get plates out of states. Oh boy.

Nightmare!!!!!!

Thank you AR and the Dealership. I'm so sorry I bought the truck there.

Yeah they did the same thing to me , and I also learned that you get a hefty fine if you don't go down to the tax office and pay it within 30 days. Thankfully the lady at the DMV let it slide for me. I think the fine was like $200 if I recall.
