Default moving to Dumas, AR

Dear all,

I am moving from New England to Dumas some time around mid September to be near my loved one.Originally I am English and still have my accent.

I am actually going to be living in Pendleton and would like to find some local work and am prepared to apply myself to most things. I am a qualified design engineer and I realise that such openings are difficult to come by but if you know of a job that is vacant, I would appreciate some advice from anyone local.

best wishes and thanks

Ian

well im not real sure about all of the job openings around that area. For the town, i personally am not crazy about it. If you have bad allergies you are most likely to catch colds year round from all the dust and pesticide repelent they put on the crops. The town of Dumas is going down and most of the surrounding area as well. Although if your into fishing alot, pendleton is a great spot along the arkansas river. Many people travel to go fishing there. As far as dumas goes though, not your best choice, you might want to check in around monticello which is about 25 miles south of there. Good town, nice 4 year college, and friendly people. Hope i have been of some help to you
