Want to move to North East Arkansas/SW Missouri
We currently live in Starkville, Mississippi. We will be retiring in less than 2 years. We are looking for 5 to 25 acres for a small farm. Due to a divorce in the past, are credit is damaged. We are looking for a delinquent tax sale or owner financing possibility.
My husband has a good job and I work, as well. We would like to find something that we can make a down payment and start paying on now.
Preferably we would like an old farm.

Confused by posting title ?
NE Arkansas and SW MO are completely different - completely....not to mention on opposite sides of an imaginary longitudinal line....so do you want NE AR or SW MO? What is it you want the farm for, an actual productive farm or just acreage (which is what I am guessing from your post)...the NE corner of Arkansas is going to be more delta....NW AR and SW MO are going to be more hills....

Thank you
Thank you for the correction. My computer has been down and I didn't realize you had left a message. Sorry for the delay.
Definately meant to say NW Arkansas and SW Missouri.
kid
PS: were looking for acreage with the idea that we would do something with it, depending on what kind of acreage it is and location. Location determines alot, I think.

I wish you the best of luck in finding what you are looking for. Parts of SW MO and NW AR are very expensive, but if you get away from the larger cities you may have more success. There are some very pretty areas east and southeast of Springfield, near towns like Cabool and West Plains.
If I lived in Starkville, I would also be looking for somewhere else to retire; it's one of the most depressing places I have ever been

KDNXDR,
Those are both areas we are also looking at. We made the trip out there a few weeks back.. I think you just need to make the trip and see exactly where you want to live... Also look over on the Missouri Board it is pretty active too....
