Of course, as you know, there are racist people everywhere, but I think you will find the people in and around Fayetteville very friendly and accepting. Enjoy your years at the University. Just remember, if you don't like football, keep your mouth shut. That will hurt you much more than being a Muslim.

I am sure that there are racists in Arkansas, but the culture of the state varies depending on which part of the state that you are living in. Fayetteville is a University town, and as a rule, University towns tend to be more diverse and more accepting of diversity. I may have a different opinion if you were talking about different cities in the state.

I believe you will not have any problems in Fayetteville or Little Rock.

This is such an important thing to know about university towns!

Now if you allow me to ask, are the people friendly there?, and i don't mean just not being racist, Because i like being around friendly people///

Since, in this thread, you state that you do not wear Hijab or other Muslim clothing, most likely people will just assume you are Mexican. There are lots of Hispanics in the area thanks to Tyson Chicken.

and I agree. Living around Hispanics most of my life and living around people from the mid east, they look almost nothing alike, nor do they act alike. This isn't meant to be a insult to any group, the two are just different. \
