Little Rock's historical district and riverfront didn't used to be much either. the city has worked very hard to bring them back. Fort Smith could do the same.

Cool. Thanks for the info. How many people does Conway have now? Isn't it almost 60,000?

Estimate in 2009 had Conway at 59,511, and North Little Rock at 60,139. It's going to be close, but whoever has the highest population in the 2010 census will be named second on the MSA's title for the next ten years.

Conway has certainly grown alot. Is that mainly because it's a college town, good economy, great place to raise a family or all of those? So would the MSA be worded like this: Little Rock-N. Little Rock-Conway and CSA would be Little Rock-N. Little Rock-Conway-Pine Bluff. Is that right?

In Los Angeles everyone is a Bruins or Trojan fan, big time as well as Dodgers. Does that answer your question? The only place we have lived without a true sport base was Albuquerque and I think most know why. Sports is a diversion for many of us.

Did I have a question? I don't think I did. Like I said, never will understand. I'm just sick of seeing the pig logo!

Well, you're going to have to learn to live with it, haha! Like Nita said, any area that loves it's pro team is blanketed in it, and Arkansas doesn't have a pro team, so we love our Razorbacks. The only way to escape that kind of branding is to live somewhere without any significant sports presence, which is difficult.

wow, I guess I said something that set you off, I am sorry..I was just trying to give my side of issue>sports and the Razorbacks are just a part of life for many around here, like in other states where sports are a way of life. I didn't mean it to be taken the way you must have taken it. I am sure you are not the only one that feels the way you do. Remember to many, as I mentioned Sports is a diversion/escape from everyday life. I lived in Cowboy country for 13 years, though I am a sports fan, the Dallas Cowboys were not my team. I learned to live with it and I learned to hear everyone at work, on MOndays talk Cowboys every week during the season..It really didn't bother me all that much.

I used to be a big football fan. I really don't care anymore, but Arkansas is no different than Denver or Georgia they love their broncos and bulldogs. The pig does not bother me. It is everywhere. I could care less. My wife' relatives have started indoctrinating our toddler. The razorback clothes they buy seem to dissappear somehow but his Georgia Tech clothes never get lost

It's not a pig, it's a razorback. It's just an arky thing. I'm not much into the sports thing. I'm a teacher. I know how much monies we waste on it. Still, if other people like that sort of thing, and they do, I'm fine with it. Why rain on someone else's parade if you don't have to?
