We've a few Aerospace Companies in East Camden in South Arkansas. Some small lake areas around South Arkansas that you might would like to live at especially between Hampton and El Dorado like lake Calion. There's General Dymanics, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Aerojet and some smaller companies. Best of luck to you.

I feel like an idiot - I forgot all about Raytheon in Little Rock...I think that's them, and there's another one out at Adams Field....I am not sure what they actually DO out there - I have a friend who is a custom cabinetmaker for the high dollar private jets that works there - but at any rate - THANKS ANJOE! Good catch! |

thanks, I don't necessarily want to stay in aerospace but it is what I have experience in at the moment, I will have to do some digging on those places and see what I can find. Thanks alot everyone. You know I would be curious as to what liberal does mean to an Arkansas person...

Reyna_lin, have you also researched NE Oklahoma? I too found Fayetteville to meet the most of my criteria but am now finding Green Country in OK has the similar climate, the bennies of the Oark beauty, and proximity to Tulsa (the many amenities big cities have to offer plus employment opportunities if needed) seems to throw the balance more in OK's favor. If I can't make a good income in Tahlequah area, I plan to look into areas around Tulsa that are country feeling but nearer the bigger metro, like Claremore (north) or Broken Arrow (south), yet be so close to so many lakes. Check out my comparisons as people respond to my blog "NE Okl or NW Ark?" Maybe we'll both get the questions answered we're looking for.
