You'll like Centerton if you .... hate yard work and just want to let your lawn grow, like to look across the street and see the exact same house you live in, take challenge in dodging drunk drivers (Centerton was tagged last year statistically as the community with the most DWI's in Arkansas), like to keep your bass-boat or RV in the front yard, and enjoy loud Latin music late at night.

Come on now...Centerton has become a popular option for people who don't necessarily what to live in Bentonville....It is a short commute and the homes are about 5 to 10% less than a comparible home in Bentonville. The previous post reminds me of one stating there are Gangs and roaming beasts in Bella Vista.
Centerton is a growing area that experienced some over-building over the last 2-3 years....It is now catching up with that growth. They are adding commercial businesses and a new SuperCenter, which will alieviate some of the "going into Bentonville" trips for local residents. The biggest comment I hear from my clients in Centerton is morning traffic going to the WalMart Home Office. That is being addressed. I can be more specific if you have any direct questions concerning neighborhoods or pricing...the schools are also very good in this area. |

The biggest comment I hear from friends and co-workers who bought in Centerton is that they cannot wait to get out that town but can't sell their houses because of declining property values and the lack of appeal to the neighborhoods because of the junkyness. The OP mentioned he had three young children and IMO Centerton would not be a place I would recommend.

Yes i do have 3 children, and would prefer the bentonville schools. I am looking in the 200 or less range, and have seen quiet a few new houses, at attractive prices. BUt will get a feel of the area when i visit next week.
