Default Louisiana Man here..

And the people of Arkansas are wonderful folks. Don't believe anything else until you've gotten to know them. I'm telling all of you from across the nation who may be reading my comments. There are a few bad eggs like in La and all the other states, but a lot of genuinely nice people as well. I have met people from all over the country (served in the army) and it knocked down a lot of the prejudices I had about people from other states or regions. There's good and bad everywhere you go-believe it.

unsolicited opinions as a rule are not welcome, unless there already exists poor boundaries. i kind of like it when people set boundaries. its healthy. i might like arkansas. translation. if you let people get used to wiping their feet on you, when you resist they think there is something wrong with you.

Well, if people don't like us and don't think we're nice...those feet or that car that got you here can take you north, south, east, and west of us.

As a born and raised Arkansasan, I will always be proud to be from Arkansas. No matter where I live, I say, “I’m from Arkansas.” I was born in Ft. Smith, grew up in Little Rock, graduated from Henderson State University and taught in the Delta. Every place left a positive mark on my psyche. Since then I’ve earned a doctoral degree from Virginia Tech, been a school administrator in Las Vegas and presented at Oxford University. At every point, I’ve been proud to be from Arkansas. In Arkansas I learned the best educational practices, the bent on presidential politics and good manners. I learned to appreciate Brahms and the Blues. I found that there is better medicine in Arkansas than many other places. I learned that folks care about one another. I learned that there is no place like home. If you’re in Arkansas, you’re lucky. I only wish I could be there, too.

I'm the same way, every time someone asks where i'm from i'm never hesitant to say "Arkansas!" I grew up in Fayetteville and proud of it! Still have Arkansas tags and Drivers liscense even after 3 years here. Glad to hear there is another Arkansan out West, I've only seen i think 1 Arkansas tag out here the whole time i've been here, and i wasn't 100% positive. Only been to Vegas once, and loved it. As someone from Ark, do you like living in Vegas? We're moving to San Diego this summer, but Vegas is on the list of later places to live.

As Mike Huckabee once said "I'm from Hope, Arkansas and all we ask of you is to give us another chance" (referring to Bill Clinton). Personally I don't understand why you'd let some bad apple on the internet ruin your day.

As someone, from Ark, I am moving to Missouri, the closest place I could get to home without losing pay! I'm lucky--my house here sold in a week (with 75K profit), I got a job making almost 10K more (23 schools here vs. 9 in MO)--so I'm going for it! I live living in Vegas, but it gets tougher every day. Vegas is a tough place, with grafitti, poor schools and some rude folks! But I hear San Diego is great!

I am going to St. Charles, a suburb of St. Louis. I found a nice home in Lake St. Louis. I think it will be a good change from Vegas and I'll be about 6 hours from my mom who lives in Bentonville.
