Jonesboro
Fla mail man, huh? I spent 27 years in South Florida with the USPS. Moved to Cherokee Village 2 years ago to escape the crowds, congestion, high cost of living. Retired and loving it, in Cherokee Village, AR, about 1 hour from Jonesboro.
Jonesboro is about 65,000....seem's like alot of cars. But I like to visit for the shopping, and eateries.

Jonesboro, Cherokee Village, Mountain Home
Found Cherokee Village on the map. Near Hardy.
That area looked really nice when we drove through on our way to Mtn. Home last month. ( we were there for that snow and ice storm) Waiting for transfer to come through, meanwhile, will be visiting Jonesboro soon. We were thinking of buying property in Mtn. Home for retirement.

You could not have picked a better location in the Ozark Mountains to retire. My mom and dad have a retirement plan that inlcludes Mountain Home also...it's a beautiful, quiet, and relaxing community.

I wonder how fast Jonesboro is growing. If I go there, it would be as a PTF. (all other folks, forgive the Postal lingo) Not too anxious to do that, but I will if I think it won't take too long to make regular.

About Jonesboro
Jonesboro is growing very rapidly! The city is expanding in all directions, swallowing up the small towns surrounding it. It is a very nice place to work and live, but it is quickly changing from small-town living to city living. Just something to keep in mind. The education system, if you have children, is very good in Jonesboro, there are a lot of options. In my 25 years of living in Northeast Arkansas, I have seen Jonesboro go from a town to a full-fledged city with a lot to offer.
