Default Bikes, Blues, and BBQ: Sept 28-Oct 1

Vendors are setting up; Bikers are rolling in!

For more info on this weekend's festival, visit BBBBQ's website

Even if you're not a biker, it's fun to walk up and down Dickson St. checking out all the bikes. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise

thanks for the information. I know it is a fun time for many. Last year, even the liqouor stores on the MO border were packed with bikers stocking up for the weekend. If it wasn't for parking being such a pain, I would love to venture down to Fayetteville.

You'd rent your house to a bunch of partying bikers for a weekend?

I certainer wouldn't and I wouldn't want to live in Fayetteville this week end either, but I do think the BB&Q is a great idea. BTW< do you know bikers are not necessarily any bigger partiers than any other group....but that many is bound to create havic.

There are many who "flee" town during BBB...right before they rent their houses out.

Today's bikers aren't all "hell's angels". I know quite a few businessmen, attorneys and women who ride. These days a starter Harley can cost you $15-20k. You've got to have a good job (or be in debt up to your eyeballs) to be able to afford a bike, an auto, and/or a home.

Heck our pastor rides a bike to work everyday, I don't know if it is a Harley or not....

@dave~ time it right and you should be going against traffic. There's usually a parade on Saturday that starts at the mall, comes down College to Dickson.

Besides 540 is horrible no matter what time of day or event.
