Question Massage Therapy jobs in Hot Springs Village

HSV sounds like the place I could love. I still need to work in my early 50's as a massage therapist. Does anyone know of any massage therapists working in HSV, or surrounding area? Would I be able to make a living at Hot Springs Village? Any therapists working in the area would be so helpful to give me an idea of pay, hours per week, do you stay busy year round? How are tips, if at all? What's an average paycheck like--in order words could I make the house payment? I say another poster that asked about their 3 dogs and were answered by the POA saying it was ok. I'm not willing to give any up. I love the outdoors for recreation--camping, fishing, hiking, and the dogs love to get out and play too. It's too hot here. I really, really want to get out of Phoenix, Az. Been here 6 years and the heat has just gotten to me. I don't mind 90-100 degress, but over 110 degrees is getting a bit much for me.

I don't know anything about the therapy jobs, but you could check the local newspaper or other online sources. With many elderly in the area, I'm sure there is a large physical therapy need, but not sure about massage therapy.

You are correct, there are no rules regarding # of dogs. They can't run loose, they must be inside, fenced, leashed, or under 'voice control'.

Default I have been checking and found....

Thanks Jeff. yes, I've been checking the newpapers, individual companies, etc. Not a single listing yet, not even craigslist. But I know that most jobs in this field are not advertised; it's a word of mouth thing. Both jobs I've had since school were not advertised. And I've found the spa at Hot Springs Village. Would love to work in the village! I wrote that earlier post late at night without enough sleep--rambles on, but I have 3 dogs also. One is almost 10 years old and won't be here too many more years. And they NEVER leave their home without me present, and leashed. It's for their protection as well. I read about the fencing, etc. This sounds like a dream come true for me. Two of my dogs are swimmers--I'm sure you could find a piece of one of those 12 lakes to let them swim occassionally. And I love fishing!

I am an LMT and had to work in the oil/gas industry due to the recession! Boy do I know what all LMTs are going through that can't find work! As a matter of fact, I need a job as well. It doesn't matter where either. I just want work!

I have all the equipment I need, but no job! I had a 90+ GPA in Anatomy and Physiology. I would like to work in the Hot Springs; Eureka Springs; or Heber Springs area! It seems that the towns with the word, "Springs" is the place to be!

I have seen a few ads for discounted services.
I think LMTs are seeing that they need to discount their services in order to bring in the revenue they need.
