Okay - the classic car enthusiasts meet at R'ville City Park at around 5:00 the 2nd Tues. of every month, then ride on to Western Sizzlin' at Knoxville and E. Main and eat. They do lots of things on the weekends too.
Two catfish places are really popular - Brown's Catfish is next door to the Ford dealership on E. Main, you can't miss it...and then there's a place called Catfish Inn in Dardanelle, right across the river...go across the Dardanelle bridge and take your first right and just keep going. In a mile or maybe less you'll see the road fork and their sign is right there - bear to the right and it backs up to the river. Both are buffet places. Catfish Inn is more expensive, but you can sit out on the deck by the river and it's nice. Get to either place early or you stand in line. For quick catfish that's good and cheap, Big Red on South Arkansas - the guy that owns it has a '46 Mercury convertible (so Goobie says, and says it's sweet)....go south on Arkansas/Hwy. 7 from Maine past the old Jr. High on your right - it'll be about 3 blocks on up on your right, caddycorner from Leonard's hardware.
Friendly people are everywhere!
Okay, goobie husband tells me the classic car show and all kinds of activities is at Petit Jean State Park on Sept. 19-22....they have vendors there and folks just kind of mill around....Goobie wants to know what you drive?
