I was hoping a local person might have info on unadvertised camping areas for RVs. I did find some on the internet but was wondering if there are any more. Any info would be helpful since we are heading that way in a month or so. We would need a monthly lot...

I don't know what's advertised on the internet and what's not, but there are a couple of RV parks along Hwy 62 between Avoca and Gateway. There are tons of camping spots on Beaver Lake, and since summer's over, plenty of spots available. My favorite area is along the White River behind the dam. There are several camping areas in there, but that's about an hour from Bentonville.

American RV Park in Springdale or Wilderness RV Park out in Siloam Springs are two you might consider. I don't think you'll find anything really close to the airport, though something might have opened recently that I don't know about. The airport is technically in Highfill and is about 20 minutes from Bentonville. All that area was farmland before the airport went in. There has been a lot of development from Bentonville towards the airport (and I am thinking you mean XNA and not Bentonville's municipal airport), so maybe you'll find something. One thing you might try is to connect with some of the craft fairs that occur in October. There is one in Bella Vista, and there are thousands of people that come in to the area driving RV's and campers. Some of the fair organizers might have a list of RV camps in the area along with a map so you could plot out which one would suit you best.
