The Secretary of State office is unofficially putting voter turnout at a whopping 73.42% for yesterday. The numbers are tentative, because three counties haven't turned in their tabulations yet. But the tentative numbers are that of the 1,618,320 registered voters, that 1,188,125 actually cast ballots. Wow! And thank you to everyone who voted. I know that in some cases it took hours. But WOW!

And PS--Union County had voter turnout between 90 and 100%!!!! Big WOW!

I voted early and still had to wait in line. I'm so glad it's over. There seemed to be a lot of nastiness this campaign, not just with candidates/issues but with their supporters.

It's good to see people involved, interested, and participating. No matter what your view, thank goodness we live in America and have choices. A wee bit over half the voting populace are happy today, a wee less than half are sad - but regardless, we were heard. It really is the finest country in the world. It doesn't matter if BO got your vote at all - he's now our president, and support and prayers for the leadership of this great country are what is important now.

Turnout was amazing...it was GOOD to see people waiting in line!

As the polarization continues I believe we'll see much worse in the not-so-distant future.
