New Orleans-had a great time growing up here but it's outlived it's usefullness, and after hurricane Katrina things are not so hunky-dory here! N.O. is a great town to visit, but don't want to retire there- I hear NWA is calling my name!!!

Good, I hope to see you up here in NWA soon. If you need any info about the area, just send a reply and I'll get back to you.

Paragould is more in the Northeast section of the state, I really don't know much about it. It's somewhat close to Jonesboro, but that's about all I know.

From all over..
grew up in W. Memphis (don't hold in against me)
6 years in Memphis
3 years in Louisiana (yuk)
7 years in Richardson (north of Dallas)
Like it here, but visit anually Mountain View area, Lake Ouachita and Blanchard Springs
Just an experience, I met my wife in Louisiana, took her to Blanchard and she fell in love with it. I grew up camping there every year and have many past and future fond memories there. Natural purity is a good description.

I lived in Lake Village from birth until college, then lived in Oklahoma City until 1993. I'm retired now in NE Alabama in the foothills of the Smoky Mtns.

Paragould
Bring your bug spray ! I am in Mountain Home, about 2 hours west of there. I coached a baseball tournament in Jonesboro and Paragould........the mosquitos at night are the worst ! Lots of rice fields. But, both areas are very beautiful.

having rice fields in front of you seems to be relaxing.. yeah your right about the mosquito thing. Just always have a mosquito repellant lotion if you're going to walk around the area by night..
