I've never been to Arkansas itu, but i have a question, When will Jonesboro finally be the 2nd biggest metro/city in Arkansas. It's time for Jonesboro to overtake Walmart City and Hog Haven (bentonville and Fayetteville)

Jonesboro is growing and I would like to see more about it on CD but don't look for it to catch up to NWA anytime soon.

If you have never been here then why do you ask? Also, why the sudden interest in Jonesboro?

I agree with the other posters. The only way I see Jonesboro growing is larger enrollment at ASU.

Compared to other Arkansas towns, Jonesboro is underrated. It's not a boom town, but has had impressive growth over recent years.

Aren't we going in circles? This is the subject of another thread:

Possibly moving to AR; what are my options?

This. LR & NWA are already much further ahead than Jonesboro in MSA populations. LR is close to 710k, NWA is close to 474k, while Jonesboro only closing in on 123k. Also, Jonesboro's growth is at least somewhat at the expense of the rest of the surrounding Delta regions and currently does not have the economic base that NWA/LR have.

I'm personally not a fan, but given the area it's in, it's an improvement considering what is around it.

Default Troll?

mod cut The reality is that I have been to Arkansas several times. Obviously, I was not impressed, especially with the silly pockets of dry cities.

Besides being dry, what's wrong with it?
