Hello! I'm moving to the Fort Smith area this summer for an internship and I am currently trying to rent a pet friendly property that will fit my budget! I was curious to know what neighborhoods are really good to go to and which places to avoid?

This question might be better recived in the general Arkansas thread. Little Rock/Conway is a long way from Fort Smith.

Moved! Can anyone help this poster out?

HRM - please go to the top of the main Arkansas forum and click on the Search This Forum box on the right side....type in Ft. Smith and I am sure you will come up with numerous threads about that city. Perhaps that will help you until someone wanders in with some advice. Welcome to City-Data!

I have no idea what your budget is.

If you are interning at UAFS I'd probably stick with the area around the college. I lived in the neighborhood for a year, 2 minutes from the interstate, maybe 3 to downtown.

Some people like Fianna Hills, If you want to be in a developing neighborhood then probably Chaffee Crossing. There are quite a few new houses being built out there as well as some apartments.
