I have lived in Northwest Arkansas all but 4 of the 21 years of my life. Not once have I thought the humidity to be unbearable or the bugs and pests to be overwhelming. I moved to Georgia with my family in 1999, and it was positively more humid and hot than Arkansas.
I don't think the average summer temps and bugs will bother you at all. The roller-coaster climate may, however! Yesterday it was 89 degrees when I got home from work, and today it's in the low to mid 70's! I like it, though...who wants good weather ALL the time? The hotter days are just my excuse to stay inside and avoid yard-work!
Any ideas on where you'll be moving to?
